Consulting and Projects

Over the past 5 years, my consulting work has supported international development organisations and CSO/NGOs in Malaysia. I have worked on projects related to democratic development, political party development, civil society development, and education.

My specialised skills:

Selected past and current projects:

  • International Republican Institute (IRI), 2020-2024: Provided end-to-end program management and consulting services, including program design, delivery, and reporting for 11 complex and multi-stakeholder in-country programs.

  • International Republican Institute (IRI), current: Provision of local technical support for an Asia-wide political party leadership workshop.

  • Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD): Co-author for study on Cost of Politics in Malaysia, a qualitative research which examined the financial barriers faced by individuals contesting for public office across the electoral cycle in Malaysia. The study is based on key informant interviews with 26 individuals who were past electoral candidates, campaign managers, or subject matter experts. A public report launch was organised and attended by elected officials, civil society leaders, researchers, and the wider public.

  • INITIATE.MY: Designed and delivered three workshops across a total of 9 hours for seven civil society professionals on grant writing, monitoring and evaluation, risk management, and project budgeting.

  • C4 Centre: Developed and submitted a concept note on climate governance reform for an international funding source.
